We are a construction company that has been developing for over 25 years and pride ourselves on being prompt, diligent and seeing to our customers’ needs, trying to make the ideas of choice, design and implementation a stress-free and exciting process. We also like to provide a full turnkey operation, where the client only has to deal with one person while we take care of all the trades and artisans necessary to complete the job.

Our aim is to develop into a small building company providing the client with a broad spectrum of services and a more interactive relationship with our team. We would concentrate on small builds and extensions, together with all types of finishes to your home or work environment.
About
Me
As for myself (Axel) I have had my own company for the past 26 years in South Africa. I am a keen mountain biker and horse rider, having had my own farm and horses for many years and competed in eventing and show jumping. My life has led me here to the island where new beginnings are afoot and look forward to meeting and working with you. I grew up as a young child in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, then spent some 3 years in the UK and then finished off my high school years in Bloemfontein SA as a border. Tertiary education took place at Cape Town Technicon where I completed my national diploma in architecture with 2 distinctions.

Projects
Loved working on this project in the summer, we were given a brief to create a barn for an event and so set about our design to build.
Building designs and implementation with site management and hands on experience throughout the projects and in close communication with the clients.
The largest project I have taken on to date is the barn! On a farm in the Eastern Free State.
From initial design to finished product using some materials sourced directly from the farm, such as the sandstone flooring and the blue gum timbers used for the giant sliding doors and the oversized swing.
All while providing much needed local employment and working closely with the local community.

Process
Following an initial consultation, I work carefully to bring your ideas to life, designing, tweaking & crafting to deliver your creative vision within time and budget.
For over twenty five years Axel Taylor has been our “go to” man for repairs/maintenance/new builds. He can do anything and everything in this regard and does so promptly, willingly, happily and efficiently.
Apart from such general repairs and renovations needed to our house like plumbing, leaking roofs, pipes, painting, tiling Axel has built, designed and fitted-out for us a sun room, built in carpentry work for a bathroom vanity, fitted bookshelves, fitted cupboards/wall shelving work with dressing table and in the garden has built walls, pathways, a patio and installed a metre high metal spike security fence – which at Axel’s thinking was welded onto metal bars fitted onto and slightly lower than the top of the existing wall to give us added security. I have also seen a superbly finished kitchen, bathroom and bedroom he designed and installed for a friend of ours here.
Axel has a fantastic “artistic” eye and can create and “think out of the box” if necessary to overcome problems. He has always been true to his word, arriving on time and doing superb neat meticulous work. He also works cleanly and clears up as he goes along. His honesty has been wonderful as I have safely been able to go out and about or leave my keys with Axel to just get on with things.
I can but wish him the very best success in the future and cannot say highly enough of his work and abilities. I am only so sorry, from my personal point of view, that he is no longer living here.
Anybody wanting house or garden repairs/renovations/new builds should really use Axel.
